How I work

Short version: slow at the start, fast at the end.

Before Yandex, I designed at a top-10 Russian design studio — working across e-commerce, fintech, real estate, media, and SaaS.

I contributed to UX research, shaped product strategy, and shipped web and mobile interfaces for teams of every shape. That range is why I think of product design as a clarity practice first and a visual one second — if the thing is hard to write about, it’s going to be hard to use.

In 2020 I designed ДомОуправление — a concierge-style rental app for landlords and tenants. End-to-end, from research to launch, simplifying listing and rental management for both sides of the market.

During COVID I shipped ДаблБи, the mobile loyalty and ordering app for the coffee brand DoubleB — a system that helped them keep coffee orders fast, contactless, and personal while the world was re-learning how to buy a flat white.

What stays consistent across all of it: I lead with the person using the product, work tightly with engineering, and try to make interfaces that feel obvious in hindsight.

§ 04

Type, briefly.

The pairings considered for this site, and why one stuck.
Pair 01 · in useInstrument Serif + Figtree
Calm, considered.
A serif with soft, pinched terminals meets a neutral modern sans — warmth without nostalgia.
Why it works. Instrument Serif is editorial at display sizes but doesn’t get precious. Figtree’s geometric bones keep UI crisp. Together: a magazine cover with a product brain.
Pair 02 · altFraunces + Figtree
Warm, opinionated.
Variable-axis serif paired with the same sans, tuned toward a softer, more playful tone.
Why it works. Fraunces brings optical sizing and personality — almost too much. Best when you want the site to feel human over senior. Pulls editorial down a notch.
Pair 03 · altNewsreader + JetBrains Mono
Quieter, literary.
News-inspired serif with a monospace body for a research-notebook feeling.
Why it works. Swaps the sans for mono — slows reading, signals craft. Ideal for a case-study heavy portfolio but too niche for every surface.
